At the end of February, we celebrated 4 years of ferret life, or Blaze’s fourth birthday. Her coat has changed colors as she ages, which is pretty interesting. She looks more like an off-white fluff ball these days. The black spot on her nose has grown too.

Here are her third birthday post and second birthday post, for comparison’s sake. One thing that has remained the same: her silliness, cuteness, and digging in our couch. We tried to foil her couch-destruction with a slipcover, but she managed to dig a hole in the bottom liner of the couch to get inside and squirrel around.

She still loves her cozy fleece blankets that we use as her bedding in her cage. I snapped these pictures as she was waking up and reluctant to leave her warm, soft nest.

Behavior wise, she still has a lot of energy and enjoys running around the house while supervised. My kids say that she does get tired out slightly sooner, but that doesn’t seem to be much of an issue.

We still love and celebrate fours years of Blaze! Cheers to more fun with this friendly ferret!
