“Having children is like living in a frat house – nobody sleeps, everything’s broken, and there’s a lot of throwing up.”

Ray Romano

This quote has been coming to mind lately, as I feel like there’s always a mess to clean up, things are getting knocked over and broken more and more.  Play brooms become hockey sticks or “choppers;” our entertainment center has been converted to toy storage; and our house has that well-lived in look and feel!!  Welcome to parenthood!

It’s funny reflecting on this quote, as life HAS changed so much since we were first married seven years ago this month.  Life has sprung into warp speed since welcoming our first – our daughter – over three years ago and son twenty-two months thereafter.  We have been so blessed with our family, yet we recognize the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears that go into building and enjoying that family.  I’m glad I have an awesome husband for continual love and support through whatever kids and life bring our way.

Love you Daddy O!
