Motherhood is full of joy, love, all bodily fluids, sweat, tears, and last but not least IRONY. Sometimes all of these feelings can be experienced in any given day, hour, or even any minute!

Who hasn’t experienced seeing baby’s first smile followed by a rumble and a huge, up the back, putrid yellow blow-out diaper?

This week I had the pleasure of living through such an ironic moment. As I changed my 14 month old’s poopy diaper, letting his poor bottom air out a bit before applying cream, he proceeded to pee all over! As the urine flowed, I noticed the board book he was reading. It was appropriately called SURPRISES!

Oh the IRONY of motherhood.
