We’re celebrating 5 years of ferret life! Blaze turned 5 a few weeks ago, and she’s still an energetic, fluffy, precocious pet. She continues to enjoy digging in the carpet or couch, and in bins of beads. She likes hiding her favorite toys and cuddling under fleece blankets. It’s debatable if she’s slowing down at age five. Blaze seems to still have a lot of pep in her step(s).
Her back hump is in full view in this picture. It’s as if she knows she’s being watched!
She has perfected the “sploot” position. Usually, Blaze assumes this position at the end of playtime, when she’s ready to return to her cage.
And around Christmas, she did a sploot with tissue paper.
We are grateful for another year to enjoy with Blaze! Here’s a look back at her 4th birthday.
