Blaze is our still-super-cute six-year-old ferret, whom we love dearly. She is getting up there in ferret years and has required some extra veterinary care and medication to help her live her best life. We still love watching her wake up and bop around outside her cage.

She still loves sleeping in cozy fleece blankets or sweatshirt hoods.

It’s also easier to get pictures of her when she’s not moving! She favors the “donut ferret” post. In the middle picture, she is extra floofy after a bath. She found some stuffed animal friends to squeeze between in Big Sister’s room.

She still squishes underneath her cage from time to time.

While in Big Sister’s room, Blaze found a pink hat that doubled as a jellyfish costume. It made for a good sleeping cubby. We caught her giant yawn in this picture.

Big yawn for our little ferret Blaze

I never imagined owning a ferret until my kids made a slides presentation about them during the pandemic! Little did I know that it would lead to six years of enjoying time with our cute, silly, cuddly ferret Blaze. Cheers to six years!
