As the cold of winter is upon us, I found myself looking back on some pretty sights of summer. We were up in northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan for whitewater rafting, and we ventured farther north to Munising to see Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

We took a boat tour to check out the gorgeous shoreline. The ride was quite rough. We managed to get through it without getting sick. We still enjoyed the incredible views. The blue green waters reminded us of the ocean! Lake Superior is the biggest of the Great Lakes that is about the size of Austria. I had no idea it was THAT big.

There were several waterfalls along our cruise. This one was called bridal veil falls.

I had to brace myself to take pictures on the rocking boat. Here were two more of my favorite shots.

All in all, it was cool to experience and learn about Lake Superior and this incredible national lakeshore.

Here was a sunset on the inland lake that we stayed near in Iron River, Michigan. Cheers to summer fun! We’ll fondly remember our adventures as we endure enjoy winter.
