Did you know that ferrets can have a “summer bod?”
We took our ferret into our vet for her annual check-up and our vet commented that Blaze had her summer bod. It’s common for ferrets to slim down for summer and get more chonky for winter. (Side note – our family digs the term chonky.)
She’s so little already, and looks extra noodle-like in summer. Check out some recent pictures of her:

Her coat has also lightened up through the years. As a baby, she was definitely darker gray, and now she has more white fur. The vet explained that this is common in ferrets. Check out how dark grey she looks in 2020 vs. 2022.

Blaze is ALWAYS curious about any open beverages that we have! In this picture, she is checking out my margarita on the rocks. She did not imbibe any. Also, no ferrets were harmed during the taking of these pictures.

Cheers to more fun with this adorable ferret with her summer bod!
